چکیده

The immunochemical differentiation of the alkaline phosphatases from tissues of the dog has been reported (2, 3). Antisera against dog intestinal phosphatase quantitatively precipitated this enzyme under conditions which were without effect on the alkaline phosphatases from liver and kidney of the same species. The potential value of this immunochemical approach for studies of tissue specificity of functionally similar enzymes and for establishing the origin of serum enzymes in normal and diseased states stems from the ability of antibodies to react specifically with and precipitate homologous antigens from mixtures of antigenically unrelated substances. This has prompted the present immunochemical investigation of preparations of alkaline phosphatases from human tissues. Studies on the specificity of the antibodies against several human tissues will be reported, as well as the use of these antibodies to establish the contribution by the tissues to the total alkaline phosphatase activity in serum.

Placental alkaline phosphatase in tumour tissue and serum.

Using immunochemical techniques, alkaline phosphatase isoenzymes were determined in tissue samples of breast carcinomas and carcinomas of the gastrointestinal tract. In breast carcinomas only 19% of the patients expressed significant placental alkaline phosphatase activity, compared with 78% in gastrointestinal tumours. The intestinal isoenzyme was found in 50% of the breast carcinomas and in n...

P-178: Separation and Identification of Alkaline Phosphatase Isozymes during Pregnancy

Background: Alkaline phosphatase (ALP), (EC 3.1.3.1) is a hydrolase enzyme responsible for removing phosphate groups from various molecules in the body. In humans, ALPis present in all tissues such as liver, bile duct, kidney, bone, and the placenta which detection of its activity is so useful in molecular biology. Pregnancy is associated with normal physiological changes that assist fetal surv...

Comparison of the effects of extremely low-frequency Electromagnetic field and Betaine on in vitro osteogenic differentiation of human adipose tissue derived-mesenchymal stem cells

Background & Aim: Extremely low-frequency electromagnetic field (ELF-EMF) and betaine are safe factors in bone fracture repair. This study aimed to compare the effects of these two stimuli on osteogenic differentiation of human adipose stem cells (hADSCs). Methods: After obtaining written informed consent, cells were extracted from abdominal adipose tissue and then cultured in vitro until the ...
